Debuting at the age of 15 in 2009, Minzy (or Gong Min-Ji), made her mark in the South Korean entertainment industry through the legendary girl group 2NE1 consisting of members CL, Bom & Dara. The quartet set many records in the South Korean entertainment industry by releasing continuous song hits one after another and remains one of the best digital selling girl group of all times. After seven years together, Minzy left the group when her contract with YG Entertainment expired in May 2016. Soon after, in November 2016, 2NE1 was officially disbanded as well.

After leaving YG Entertainment, Minzy has since signed on to Music Works, a subsidiary of entertainment company CJ E&M, as a solo singer. She is expected to officially begin solo works in 2017 with an OST release for MBC’s “Rebel: Thief Who Stole The People” and as a regular member of “Sister’s Slam Dunk Season Two”.
